Fun Scenario: Red Pill On A Budget
This is intended mostly for fun but to also see if it generates some interesting ideas. The scenario is you've been a sheep all your life and have basically nothing in the way of any sort preps, weapons, etc. Today you realized an Argentina or Zimbabwe-type event is imminent and you have $500 to prepare. You can choose either a house on a .2 acre lot or an apartment as your residence.
What do you buy? Why? |
Re: Fun Scenario: Red Pill On A Budget
I keep the $500 bucks and squat in a vacant foreclosed house.

$200 for a backpack, sleeping bag, good knife, camp cook gear, several days of dried food, water container, spare undies and socks, etc.
$200 for a used hand gun and ammo. $50 in 90% dimes and quarters (about $5 face), $50 in cash. Carry everything with you, in your pack. Sleep where you are at, under the bridge, in a barn, in the park, etc. |

$500 worth of cigarettes.
in a few weeks they'll be worth their weight in gold. :D |
Re: Fun Scenario: Red Pill On A Budget
You have two choices in this scenario. Both options require the same product.
1. gun + a bullet. |

The cigarette idea below was good too. |
Re: Fun Scenario: Red Pill On A Budget
cheapo backpack - $50
walking boots - $120 coldsteel SRK - $40 used .22 pistol- $80 3 bricks of ammo (1500 rounds) - $30 used surplus canteen and raingear $20 10 bic lighters - $8 katadyn pocket water filter - $125 Peterson's field guide to edible plants - $25 And of course $2 left over for emergencies. I really would have liked a few extra dollars to spend on boots, but $500 was the limit. Alternately if I OWNED the house on .2 acres free and clear and it wasn't too close to a major urban center, I would seriously consider investing the $500 in seed, gardening tools and a pump shotgun. |
